Are you uneasy about your first visit? One step inside our office and you will know youβre in the right place. You will be welcomed with a smile and all of your initial paperwork will be explained to you.
We understand that when youβre in pain (or just not feeling well), and you arrive at a new place β you want to know what to expect right away. We pride ourselves on educating our patients so that there are no surprises and youβll know whatβs going to happen next.
Since care usually takes more than one visit, we know that developing a relationship with our patients is so important. Some of our patients come to see us for years, so the beginning of your treatment can really set the tone for your entire treatment.
The more you understand about our office and our goals for your health β the better your results. Our office should never be a place where you just come to get treatment without any understanding of what weβre trying to accomplish.
Book a free consultationYou will will complete your paperwork (if you havenβt done so already β click here to get the forms to download now). At Neuro Health - Migraines, Pain & Neuropathy, we strive to be prompt and on-time for our patients. Expect to spend 30 minutes for your first visit with Dr. Nenshi.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our assistant who will review all of your paperwork to make sure nothing is missing. Please turn off your cell phone whenever you arrive at the clinic and remove your coat.
You will then meet Dr. Nenshi who will sit down to perform a consultation and examination, where she will ask you specific questions about your past medical history and why youβve come to our office. This is your chance to really share whatβs been happening and any concerns you might have about beginning care.
During your examination, you will be asked to wear a gown (leaving only your underwear on underneath). We do this so that we can actually see the problem areas and be thorough in our examination.
Dr. Nenshi will perform a neurological, orthopedic and chiropractic examination to further evaluate the information you provided during the initial consultation. If needed, additional tests such as x-rays may be ordered to rule out any conditions that may prevent you from being treated in our office, or to confirm a particular diagnosis.
(If x-rays are required, you will be referred to a nearby facility to have the tests taken and you will be asked to bring the films back to our office before the end of the day.)
During your consultation and examination, if at any time Dr. Nenshi determines that you are not a candidate for her care, she will let you know immediately and direct you to the right place for your condition.
At the end of your visit, Dr. Nenshi will provide home care instructions and you will be scheduled for your next visit.
Your second visit will also be for approximately 30 minutes, where Dr. Nenshi will review the results of your tests and examination. We explain what we found and how we may be able to help you. (Again we ask that you arrive early for your appointment so that you will be taken on time.)
Dr. Nenshi will begin by asking you about the instructions she provided to you about your treatment at home and ask if you have any questions. After reviewing your information, Dr. Nenshi will answer any questions and explain the your treatment plan and the results you can expect.
In the event she thinks Neuro Health - Migraines, Pain & Neuropathy is not right for you or for your condition, she will explain why and provide the referral to the care that is right for you.
Before accepting you as a patient, Dr. Nenshi will talk with you about your responsibilities as a patient at Neuro Health - Migraines, Pain & Neuropathy. This includes following through on home care instructions, being consistent with your visits and attending our new patient orientation class. Dr. Nenshi sees the doctor-patient relationship as a partnership, where both she and you need to be on the same page and completely committed to getting results.
Once you have reviewed all the information regarding your diagnosis and the recommendations for care, Dr. Nenshi will talk to you about how much it will all cost.
Near the end of your second visit, Dr. Nenshi will perform your first chiropractic adjustment. Most patients do not need to wear a gown for their chiropractic adjustment, as long as they are dressed in loose clothing and are able to remove any bulky layers. (If you do have uncomfortable clothing, we will provide a gown.)
Before you leave, we will schedule the remainder of your visits recommended by Dr. Nenshi.
When you arrive for a regular chiropractic appointment, you will need to remove your jacket and shoes in the reception area, turn off your cell phone, and then you will be shown to a chiropractic treatment room at your scheduled appointment time.
You can then prepare for your adjustment by removing any additional bulky layers and sitting on the chiropractic adjusting table until Dr. Nenshi arrives.
Dr. Nenshi will review your file, answer any questions, and then deliver a chiropractic adjustment specific to your condition. She will typically follow with cold laser therapy (for pain relief and accelerated healing of soft tissues) and provide additional home care instructions (if needed).
Other modalities that may take additional time such as detoxification footbaths, rehabilitation exercises and massage therapy may be provided as adjunctive care afterwards if warranted.
On your way out you will take care of your account and confirm your next appointment. A typical chiropractic appointment should take 10-15 minutes from when you arrive to the office until you leave the clinic.
Dr. Nenshi has been invaluable during my pregnancy and postpartum journey, as well as treating my little baby girl. During pregnancy, she was able to help with low back and pelvis/hip pain, which significantly improved my quality of life during those last months. Postpartum she has been incredibly helpful with the aches and pains I have had due to breastfeeding, as well as improving the actual process of breastfeeding by waking up my nervous system. In regards to my newborn, she was able to help with some serious gas and digestion problems - which improved her mood and sleep tremendously! While treating her for those pesky tummy problems, she also noticed that she was favouring turning her neck to the left side and struggling with turning to the right. She was able to fix that as well, before it turned into more serious problems. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Nenshi for almost all pains during your prenatal, postnatal and newborn journey :). She gives great care to her patients (young and old), and can usually see you with short notice. She is now seeing multiple members of my family.
My lovely bride of 36 years developed painful sciatic, hip, and foot pain that eventually became almost debilitating to her. 3 months with Dr. Nenshi ( 4-5 visits?) and she is now pain free. We are so grateful to her, itβs been a quality of life miracle.
I just want to mention how wonderful Dr. Nenshi is! She is more than just a chiropractor. Her neurological knowledge is exceptional! She was so thorough in her assessment during our first meeting that it took a couple of hours. Her caring, commitment and compassion goes beyond the normal standard of care. She truly wants to help get you better and she won't give up! I can't say enough good things about Dr. Nenshi and I would be remiss if I didn't mention her amazing assistant Rachelle, who is just awesome as well! Ryan
Dr Nenshi continues to save my life time and time again with her chiropractic care. She is very knowledgeable, nice, and a pleasure to be around. She is passionate about her work and cares very deeply for her clients health and well being. Iβve referred my Dad and my fiancΓ© who are now both very happy clients of hers as well. Sheβs the best in the business and you wonβt regret going to Dr Nenshi for your chiropractic needs.
We met Dr.Nenshi first time on November 17, 2020. It was in regards to our son's concussion. She truly knows magic. The way she helped our son to go one step at a time patiently and took true care of him it was amazing. Best part was she always had some solution for his problem. It was a long process and she held our hand to go through that rough phase. Not only concussion, she treated my son later for his partial ligament tear and some neck and shoulder pain too. She is amazing and she will never give up. Thank you so much Dr.Nenshi for giving us back our son as he was before the injury. Anwit loves you and depends on you. We truly appreciate her professionalism with personal touch.
